However, in this band, there are two members so we will need to figure out what the drummer can do.

The beat can suggest that this will be a fast paced video, maybe with some actions too.
The chorus can be in a dark room, wearing dark clothes, as it can signify what is going on his mind as the lyrics suggests to 'can you save my heavy dirty soul'.

Both characters needs to be able to act preppy, confident and also show the friendship between the two of them as the song shows them singing together rather than part by part.

The narrative can be based through lyrics.
We can only hear the the singer, however there are three members, so we need to think about what the other two members can be doing.
This song sounds like a song for the heartbroken, but more on the angry side.
The actor who will be lip-syncing will need to be able to pretend she is a rock/punk etc artist, as the vocals are quite strong.
There are a lot of drum beats as well, so this can make the video fast paced,and also the character needs to be energetic.
Location can be the bedroom, as it references the bedroom as well as a room with the whole band playing ( like typical pop punk etc genres.

The actor needs to be able to act like she has been through a lot and also when the chorus hits, angry/scared.
This video can involve special effects such as when the chorus hits, because there is another voice.
Since 'robots' are referenced, we can base the whole song about a life of 'following rules/pattern'.
Since Halsey's style involves something that revolves around the current 'news', we will need to make the video with a message.
This video sounds more of the video to have a lot of aethetics, especially with colours/.lighting.
I can be very experimental with this song.

Vintage vibe with quick, dance like beats.

One character can be lip-syncing this as its their story, with the one other character(female as the name suggests) who is the person the main guy is going to be running after.
Because of its vintage dance melody, the set can be based around the vintage era, with big fluffy dresses and vintage decor.
We can also add backup dancers because its a very upbeat tune.
The character 'Sarah' has to fit what he was describing though.

Slow,starry and quite hallucinogenic.

Need two characters, male and female, as the song suggests.
This can be quite an intimate video, so we will need two willing actors who would not mind doing it.
WIth the quicker beats, we can make it fast paced then contrast it with a slower pace to show what is going with her mind etc
Lights and colours can also be very experimental and represent the emotions of the character.

Final song choice is 'Gasoline' by Halsey, because out of all the songs I wanted to do, this song was the one that most excites me. I only need one character, and can be very experimental with the lighting and colours and mise-en-scene. Also, the message behind the song can help spread awareness for mental health illness, and in this case, bi-polar disorder. It is important to raise awareness for subjects just like this so from a music video, more people can find out about it.
