Hopper is a realist artist and printmaker.

 

I liked the shadows, lighting and composition of certain characters in his paintings. The harsh lighting and lines add an effect to the emotions that are portrayed. The landscape scenes, especially the gas station look simple, yet feels so lonely as it looks really empty, which I want to recreate in my music videos. There is a lot of solitude,loneliness and regret as emotional themes through out his paintings. 

 

I want to create some of these paintings, ie turn them into real life, because they show a lot emotions, which many can interpret it any way they would like. The general theme of my music video is 'solitude' and the fight against herself. The first image 'mORNING' is one of the paintings I would definetly recreate, but with a few alterations with the costume and backgroud scenery to make it go along with the music video.
